Mr. Eric Nyongesa Wafula graduated from the University of Nairobi in 1997 with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (Hons) Degree and was admitted to the Bar as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya on 29th December 1998 and has been in practice since then. Mr. Nyongesa undertook his articles of pupillage in 1997/1998 with the firm of Lumatete Muchai & Co. Advocates and worked for the same firm dealing mainly with Conveyancing, Commercial work, Bank Security documentation, Debt collection and Civil Litigation before joining the firm of O.A. Sherman & Co. Advocates where he rose to the position of Partner. Mr. Nyongesa then formed the firm of Sherman Nyongesa & Co. Advocates where he was the sole proprietor.

He is an Advocate of The High Court of Kenya in good standing, a Commissioner for Oaths, a Notary Public, a registered Certified Public Secretary (CPS (K)), an Adjudicator and an Arbitrator. Mr. Nyongesa has a keen interest in Civil litigation in the Tribunals and all levels of the Law Courts with much interest in the Constitutional and Human rights issues, Judicial Review against administrative actions, Land and Environment issues, Commercial disputes and complex matters on Controlled and Protected Tenancies. He is an old hand in Property matters and handles varied conveyancing transactions.

Mr. Nyongesa is a passionate believer in Alternative Dispute Resolution with wide experience in Arbitration both as Counsel in arbitral proceedings and an Arbitrator. Mr. Nyongesa is adept and prolific in handling Secretarial duties in incorporation and advising on the management of companies and registration of business names and in the handling on behalf of companies and business entities Secretarial duties in all respects. He served as the Chairman of the Mombasa Law Society since 2012 and the Interim Chairman of the Coast Chapter of Kenya Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is currently the Chair of the Tax  Appeals Tribunal.
